There are several rooms in the home where the wall covering is really tested to its limits.
Bathrooms are one area but kitchens come a close second. The cooking process can produce large amounts of steam which then condenses on the wall causing all sorts of problems if not dealt with correctly. Our kitchen wall panels are perfect for such applications
Extraction is vital in a kitchen to remove the moisture from the air. But many extractor hoods merely filter the air. In this situation they are not installed with any ducting to remove the moist air to the outside. As a result, humid air condenses on cold surfaces such as tiles. This in turn can lead to problems with the grout because this permanent moisture provides the ideal conditions for mould to take root.
Our wall panels use no grout so there is nowhere for it to establish itself. They are also very easy to clean with a wipe-over maintenance free surface which is just perfect for today’s kitchens.
The panels can be used all around the kitchen but because they are made from PVC so they cannot be used behind an open hob or anywhere they would be subjected to temperatures above 60 degrees centigrade.

Which Panels To Choose
All of our panelling can be used in kitchens. The colour of the units will be the biggest deciding factor although price is always an important issue.
If you have white units then you are lucky in that you have a blank canvas to work with. Dark colours such as Slate or Black Sparkle work well if you want a contrast. We have plenty of white or light options if this is your preferred route.
